These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Convertee (the “Service”), including our website and progressive web app. By using Convertee, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Convertee provides currency conversion tools, including live and cached exchange rates, a calculator-style interface, and optional Pro features such as Mix (multi-currency expressions in plain English).

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

2. Not financial advice

Exchange rates shown in Convertee are for informational purposes only. Rates may be delayed, rounded, cached, or approximate when offline. Convertee is not a bank, money transmitter, broker, or financial adviser. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for financial, tax, or travel spending decisions. Always verify rates with your bank, card issuer, or exchange before making transactions.

3. Accounts

Convertee does not require an account for the free version. Pro features may be unlocked with a license key after purchase. You are responsible for keeping your license key secure.

4. Convertee Pro

• Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Mix on all your devices with the same license key. Enter the key on each device you want to use.
• Pricing is shown on our website at the time of purchase. Taxes may apply depending on your location and payment method.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Their terms apply to checkout.
• License keys are for personal use unless we grant a separate license. You may not resell, share publicly, or redistribute keys except as allowed by us.

5. Refunds

Because Pro delivers digital access immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once a license key has been issued, except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@convertee.digital within 14 days of purchase with your order details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
• Circumvent Pro licensing except with a valid purchased key
• Misrepresent Convertee as an official rate source for regulated activity

7. Intellectual property

Convertee, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal use. You do not acquire ownership of the software or content.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties for exchange rates, hosting, and payments. We are not responsible for outages, inaccuracies, or policy changes by those providers, though we aim to use reliable partners.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RATES WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU USE ONLY THE FREE VERSION.

11. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and clearing site data. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. Material changes may also be noted on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country may still apply.
